3rd Annual Fancy Dress Swim to Make Poverty History

July 5, 2008

 Join us for the next Fancy Dress Swim to Make Poverty History on Sunday, July 13, at Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica.

 We will meet at noon at Church in Ocean Park, 235 Hill St., Santa Monica 90405, and process to the Pacific Ocean where we will swim in fancy finery, crazy costume, normal swimwear or whatever you choose. If you would like to borrow one of our thrift store gems for the day, it’s easy; we will have them at the Church that day. Invite your friends to enjoy a swim with us!

 This event will be the kickoff of our organizing for the rest of 2008 and a chance to enjoy summer and the beach as we tell people about ONE: The Campaign to Make Poverty History.

 The 2008 events planned so far, are:

*Stand Up, October 17;

*AIDS Walk LA, October 19;

*Fancy Dress Fall Ball, October 24;

*ONE Sabbath, TBA;

*World AIDS Day, December 1.

 Put July 13 in your calendar and come along. Do something worthwhile by taking that dunk in the ocean you never get around to! Call (310) 399-1631 or email fancy@churchop.org for any and all suggestions or questions. All are welcome!
